Nuremberg
The
University of Altdorf was an early Lutheran University. It is located south and east of Nuremberg. For the modern traveler it is just a 20-minute trip from the main Nuremberg rail station (Hauptbahnhof) on the S-Bahn.Nuremberg is a very interesting city. Although destroyed in the war, much effort was put into restoring the important aspects of the old city. Also the German National Museum is located in Nuremberg and provides wonderful exhibits focusing on German Culture and the Arts.
