Obrzycko (Obersitzko)

Obrzycko (Obersitzko) is a town directly north of Poznan with an early history (prior to 1772) of inviting Germans to work at the manorial farms in the area. Thus I plan to check out the early records for the churches here to try to find early records of my people.

Meanwhile here are pictures of the town starting with the town hall. The second picture shows the sign on the town hall noting that since 1585 this town has been associated with the Polish Noble Family, the Racinskis. The messiness is due to the repaving of the market plaza:

 

I did not get a picture of the Catholic Church but here are two pictures of the old and abandoned Lutheran Church:
