Ludwig and Emilie homesteaded in Becker County (Evergreen Township),

Minnesota in 1902. Ludwig and Emilie are both buried in Becker County,

Minnesota. Ludwig is buried in Zion Lutheran Evangelical Cemetery, Toad

Lake Township. The location of Emilie's burial site is unknown at this

William and Caroline lived in Emerson, Manitoba, where it is

believed that William was an implement dealer

and/or hotel owner. He moved his family, including his widowed

mother, to Winnipeg in 1934. There are also

records that indicate that at some point he also homesteaded in

Esk, SK with his brother Albert.

Apparently Roy was born in Altona MB and went down to Benton Harbor in the twenties. His friends from MB the Arndt brothers were there and introduced him to Olga. They were married and lived the rest of their lives in Benton Harbor.

 

Roy's father and mother migrated directly from Germany (not Russia) to MB on the same boat as August Remus - the Polynesian. And possibly on the same date.
