Szamotuly (Samter)

Szamotuly (Samter) is a town north of Poznan with an early history (prior to 1772) of inviting Germans to work at the manorial farms in the area. Thus I plan to check out the early records for the churches here to try to find early records of my people.

Meanwhile here are pictures of the town starting with the market plaza:

From the market plaza go down the road to the manorial estate of the Gorki family:

There were three churches here. One parish Catholic, one monastery Catholic, and a Lutheran (destroyed). Here are pictures of the first two:
