A note from Carol Lajeunesse lajeunessecj@hotmail.com on her Hahn and Remus family of Bialobloty.

Ludwig Hahn was born about 1848 and Caroline Remus was born about 1850 some say 1852. They were married there in about 1873.

Their children were August, Wilhelm, Edward b. March 15,1878 (my grandfather), Gottfried, Heinrich, Adolf, Emil, Hulda, Emila (who married Dusterhaft), and Freidrich.

The family moved to Volhynia close to Zhitomir but I do know which year. It is assumed that Edward, my grandfather, was born in Graudenz. The only birth record that I can verify is Heinrich b.June15,1883 at Ul'yanowka just southeast of Zhitomir. This record though has Hahn spelled incorrectly as Hohn probably due to illegible writing.

Also these names of the children may not be in the right birth order. According to my relatives living today, they do not recall a Gottfried "?"

Ludwig & Caroline did not come to America and I am unaware if any of my grandfather's siblings came either.
