Degerloch near Stuttgart

Degerloch is a suburb of Stuttgart. It is about 3 kilometers south of the Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof (Main Rail Station) on the S-Bahn and on the top of a hill overlooking Stuttgart. It is one of the villages (e.g. Feuerbach) where the Reiser family lived prior to their migration to Poland, Bessarabia, and ultimately Volhynia. Click here for the Reiser family genealogy.

Degerloch is now a pleasant village but it appears to have been a manorial farm with a small village before 1800. So the old Evangelical Church is not easy to find. However, it is well worth seeing. Here are some pictures of the church and old houses at the old center of the village:
