Generation No. 1
1. DAVID FRIEDRICH1 REMUS was born 1796 in (see note from Oliver Guenther in notes), and died Bef. March 06, 1831 in Zadtkow. He married DOROTHEA FRIEDERIKE CHRISTIANE SCHULZ 1820 in Zadtkow, daughter of FRIEDRICH SCHULTZ. She was born January 17, 1799 in Zadtkow.

You asked about my Remus family.
They lived in Pommern, Kreis Belgard and Neustettin: Zadtkow and Groß Krössin.
Both villages were near the borderline of these districts and had a distance of about only 10 miles.
The earliest known father was DAVID FRIEDRICH RHEMUS, Tailor in Zadtkow. He should had been born about 1800, he married in 1820 in Zadtkow (ev. Church in Muttrin, Kreis Belgard).
His son was WILHELM GOTTLIEB REMUS (carpenter), born 8. May 1823 in Zadtkow. He married 5. Sept. 1845 and he had 2 sons which I know:
Wilhelm August Albert Remus (1851) and Hermann Karl Gottlieb Remus (1857).
I found in the churchbooks of Muttrin an entry of death:
CHRISTIAN REMUS died on 09.04.1867; born 1803, tailor in Zadtkow.
Perhaps it was a brother of DAVID RHEMUS? He was in the same generation, the same village with the same occupation. At his death he left his widow! Unfortunally she is not named.
The churchbooks of Muttrin reach up to 1785 and with good luck I could find 2 more generations, but I haven`t tried to order these films yet.
I found another member, but I can not confirm his relationship:
FRIEDRICH WILHELM FERDINAND REMUS, born 16 Jun 1892 in Karzin, Kreis Stolp.
All what I know about him is, that he married in 1917 in the same town where my family lived after 1900: in Oranienburg near Berlin. I suggest he died in WW I in France.
Do you remember I asked you about him, but you did not know his entry in Stolp?

4. CHARLOTTE WILHELMINE FRIEDERIKE3 REMUS (GOTTLIEB WILHELM2, DAVID FRIEDRICH1) was born September 25, 1847 in Zadtkow. She married JOHANN LUDWIG HERMANN TREPTOW July 26, 1872 in Muttrin, son of MARTIN TREPTOW and DOROTHEA SCHULZ. He was born November 24, 1840 in Zadtkow.

i. MARIA CAROLINE WILHELMINE4 TREPTOW, b. 1872, Zadtkow.
