I talked to a local resident who told us where the abandoned Ewald Remus house is located and its pictures are shown above. On January 27, 1945 the Russians moved into Ossowo and killed many residents (both German and Polish). They tossed a hand grenade into the Remus barns and the barns that should have been in the last picture above burned. Apparently, the Remus family like many other of the residents had fled.
