Schwente
The village was laid out in the traditional Polish way with two parallel streets and a common area between. At the head of the village was the manor house and barns (in the case of Schwente, two manors - one for each schultz (village head)).
The common area in Schwente now contains the blacksmith as well as the school and some open area shown in these pictures.
The current mayor is shown below playing with a grandson in front of his office. A likely descendent of the German schultz (Pawel Wenski (Lanski)), is also shown.
