Rakwitz, Kreis Bomst, Posen
Rakwitz was a privately held village that was developed to attract German farmers. Local people thought the terms for the new farmers were so generous the locals called the village "freistadt" (free town). My interest in this village results from the presence of the Remus family in this village; that family also lived in
Nowy Tomsyl and Wielichowo. Here are details.
