Flotenstein (Koczala), Kreis Schlochau, West Prussia

Flotenstein is a village in the north of Kreis Schlochau. This village is location of the major Catholic Church in the area and thus the place where members of the early Remus family were married and baptized. Also, currently the priest of Flotenstein serves the small parish churches in nearby Starsen and Gross Peterkau. Following is a picture of the Catholic Church and of the street in front of the church:

 

 

 

The picture below shows the cultural center in Flotenstein. This was previously the location of the Evangelical Church which destroyed in the war.
