Prenzlau, Kreis Uckermark, Brandenburg
Prenzlau town is of interest to me as it contained Remus family records (probably from
Wittstock, Ritgarden and Zarnekow). St. Mary's Lutheran church dates from 1235. It was badly damaged in the Second World War but rebuilt. The fine old large brick St Mary's Lutheran church and an entry gate to the formerly walled town still exist. Here are pictures:The town was originally walled and had gates.
