Wittstock, Kreis Uckermark, Brandenburg

Wittstock is of interest to me as it is the village from which the Carl Friedrich Gottlieb Remus and Charlotte Huth family of Ottawa Canada migrated. It was established in 1297. Later the village was a large manorial farm. And after the Second World War the village became a state farm. Apparently the village was damaged in the Second World War; the manor house was destroyed, as was the Lutheran church/chapel located there. Lutherans earlier went to Schapow village and their records also appeared in the Prenzlau church book. Following are pictures of the village as well as barns:
