Schwornigacz

Schwornigacz is a village between two large lakes north east of Pollnitz and north of Konitz. It is associated with several Remus families. Both descendents of Lorenz Remus (his great grand daughter Anna Remus and Carl Stremlau, his great grand daughter Dorothea Remus and Johan Gottlieb Bahr, and his great grand daughter Justina Remus and Samuel Moritz) and Michael Remus #2 of Pollnitz lived here (his grand daughter Anna Remus and Carl Stremlau, his grand daughter Dorothea Remus and Johan Gottlieb Bahr, and his grand daughter Justina Remus and Samuel Moritz). Note there were intermarriages between the two families resulting in the double counting. Click here for the descendents of Lorenz Remus. As the Remus families here were millers, we went looking for the mill site. We did not find the mill site (my guess is that it is located straight ahead of the boats in picture one following) but we found a great family resort for boating and swimming depicted below:

Next we went looking for the village's Catholic Church but found only a modern Catholic Church shown below.

It seems the old one was so nice it is now included in Kaszubski Park Ethnograficzny outdoor museum. Here is a picture of that church:
